Welcome to my new and hopefully final blog. I’ve been writing on and off for some time now, I think I started my first blog around 2013-2014. I was very early in my career and loved sharing my journey of learning and experimenting. As my career progressed, my interests shifted over the years. Along the way, I wrote for internal (company-only) blogs and published a few posts for CSS-Tricks, but now I think I’ve found my resolution.

I figured out that most languages come and go, frameworks too, but one thing has kept me inspired over the years: performance, low-level details, browser internals, and people (management). I talk a lot about these topics, and I’d like to share them with a broader audience. So here is my new and hopefully final blog, until I retire as a goose farmer or a wood/metal working hobbyist, I’m stuck here.

You can find a lot of interesting things here. I’m focusing on topics that aren’t that popular or easily found. Expect things like:

  • Browser APIs: Deep dives into lesser-known web APIs
  • Low-level comparisons: Why things work the way they do under the hood
  • Performance insights: Why things are faster or slower, with real data
  • People & teams: How to care about people and build teams with empathy
  • Browser internals: Understanding what happens behind the scenes

This blog is built with performance in mind:

  • Eleventy (11ty): A simple and powerful static site generator
  • Markdown: For easy content writing
  • Vanilla CSS & JavaScript: Keeping it simple and fast

Welcome, and thank you for being here.
